Windows 10 Boot Problems

I did a clean install of Windows 10 on a new wd blue 1 tb hdd on my main pc. I then put that drive in my other oc that I'm planning on giving to a friend. After install the drive in the pc upon booting I end up at a black screen with a flashing underscore. Swapping the drive back into my main pc and it runs just fine.

 

Main pc specs (Just built :))

 

Asus z97 pro gamer

16gb ddr3

Intel i5 4690k

Msi gtx 970

650 psu

 

Other pc:

 

Msi 7641 ver 4.0 mobo

8gb ddr3

AMD 6300

Gtx 750ti

500 psu

 

 

Side note- when boot managing on the Asus board I see two options for the hdd when booting with either one Windows will start, on the second pc I only see one boot option and it takes me to the black screen with the blinking underscore.

I think what you might have to do is do a clean install on the other pc so that it recognises that you are making a boot for that pc. Because I'm pretty sure you cant just swap hard drives.

That's where I started initially and it'd still just boot to the same screen.
