Galax 980ti keeps crashing on cryengine games

Miguel Batista

Hello. I am having a bit of a problem with my 980 to. It just keeps giving me the dx11 error of crashed drivers whenever I play a cryengine game. It happened with Armoured Warfare and it is happening with Mechwarrior Online. I already removed the Overclock and installed new drivers but the problem persists (albeit it is rarer with the latest drivers from nvidia).

any tips?

Pull your GPU out and reinsert it in the PCI express slot after a couple of minutes. That should do the trick.

This, if doesn't work grab a demo of 3D Mark 11 and give it a go.

It found hardware related instabilities nothing else would on brand new cards. (I wish I could find my old video).

I am just getting home and will try the pulling out trick. Amazing if it works. It prevents pregnancies AND can fix video card instabilities.

I own 3D mark and it runs fine... So does valley and heaven. It is just cryengine games... I hate that engine...
