backup external hard drive??

I have a external WD Hard drive with lots of pictures and stuff on it. I want to create a backup on another external WD Hard drive that continually keeps it updated. could someone tell me how to do this?

get an external hard drive then just copy all the files onto it that's how I do it anyway

well yeah but is there any way that it could keep itself updated every idk 2 hours, 1 hour

And if you don't want to manually copy paste files, make a clone of the drive.  Use something like SyncToy to pair up the drives.

if one gets corrupted will it wipe out the other too?

idk I just delete the old ones then add the new ones

Its called a NAS, you set up to back up a pc every day or so and you have a few drives in a setup so that if one fails you will not loose your data

I use AOMEI free software for all my home users. It's painless, flexible, and easy to use. There is better software, specifically freebsd on a separate NAS, but just for simple automated backups try AOMEI's offering. I use it quite a bit on home routers with the ability to connect USB storage.
