Greetings!

I've sweated over the creation of this build for quite a while now and it would be great if anyone could let me know if I'm doing this right.  Yes, this is my first build, and all of my computer expertise is in the field of software and programming.  Which is a bit of a problem.

I don't particularly like the Motherboard. The Power supply . . . I would at least shoot for 80+ gold for this build. The only time you need to get anything less is when you don't have decent quality hardware. Just a thought.

I think this deviates a bit too far from my original plan in my opinion.  Ran into compatibility issues.  It would be great though if you could explain why you made the changes you made.

Thanks.

What do you not like about the mobo?  And the power supply has plenty of wattage for the build, and I won't be doing any overclocking.  Why would I switch?

Thanks

If you wanna spend this kind of money, there's really no reason not go for a 980 Ti.

I understand that, but I don't want to go any over the current price.

Well, my suggestion would be well within your price range.

The build you have linked me to is well below my price because it lacks things like the OS, fans, the optical drive, etc.  The price rises critically when I put the card into my build, which includes these parts.

For the OS you could just get a license key from Kinguin for Windows 10, which works just fine, my brother's currently using one without any issues whatsoever. But then again you could just a use a cheaper case, a smaller SSD and you could include all the stuff you just mentioned.

This makes more sense.  It would be great if @Dzzope or @DakeDravis could give their opinion on the list you've linked.  The more the merrier, right?

Thanks, I'll definitely do some adjusting.

I made lots of revisions.  It's pretty much all of your parts.  Look good to you?

Looks fine... if your happy with the value your getting, thats the main thing.. Personally if the case has reasonably clear air-flow and even only 2 fans, I wouldn't bother with extra.

If you take off windows 10, + the cd drive, you'd save yourself over 100 or so in dollars for something else. Let me see if I can get a good build for you.

Went pretty simple with this one, white/black color scheme (not necessary but looks amazing) the case is good with 2 included 120mm fans, exhausts. and I added 2 fans as well for intake. Considering you will overclock, added a cryorig h7, but if you're going to do massive overclocking I might change that into a NZXT Kraken X61 or H100i. and 750w power supply because it's surprisingly cheaper than the 650w. :)

you can get them on reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap and get the cd drive in a usb format unless you need it for some things. but going on reddit will get you windows 10 for 25 dollars.
