My 3630qm CPU supports PCIe gen 3 16x, but every compatible chip set only supports gen 2. From what I understand one PCIe slot is connected directly to the mother board and should run at gen 3, and any other PCIe slots (such asWi-Fi card slot) would run at gen 2 because it's connected through the chip set. Can any one verify this? Thoughts?

I've since figured this out. I am correct the PCIe gen3 16x supported by the processor is separate to the extra lanes supported by the chipset. Of course there could very well be variations of how many of those lanes have useable connections dependent on motherboard design.
