So.... my gpu is definitely dying, with screen artifacts everyone and the desktop shaking and glitching. Already tried all routes except RMA. If I RMA, will I actually get a different card, AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY DON'T HAVE MY CARD IN STOCK? I would love it if you posted MSI RMA experiences and anwered my questions.

If they dont have it in stock you have two choices.

they replace it with an equivalent or better card.

you hold off until they have the same card.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

My 7970 Lightning had to be RMA'd twice. The first time they instantly accepted the RMA with only 3 days left of its warranty. Had no GPU for about 2 weeks due to shipping and processing. The 7970 I got artifacted within 3 days. I contacted general support over 2 months with around 5-10 emails. I got the email of someone from the RMA department and and got a response after about a week and a half and they said they would accept a 2nd RMA (which took around 2 weeks to get there , and be processed, and another week over the discussion of replacement options after they confirmed it was a bad chip). They offered me a $255 refund, enough to get a card with the same performance. I asked if there was any other options ( I would need to wait for payment meaning no GPU for weeks), they offered to send a R9 380 as a replacement which is similar performance but worth on $230.

I expressed my disappoint and that I would just accept the $255 refund and save up for an R9 390, they responded and offered me a 390X, which I graviously accepted. So, thats my RMA experience with them. Was good, then really bad, then it ended really good.
