Hi fellow LTTers,

I am currently trying to set up a RAID 1 array using the onboard controller on my ASUS A88xm-plus motherboard. I have managed to create the array however I am now receiving an error on boot from windows stating 'INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE'. I believe that this issue is as a result of changing the SATA settings from AHCI to RAID and windows not being able to read the boot drive properly (NOTE: the boot drive is not included in the array I am creating). I have tried a number of solutions online however none of the seem to work.

My question is, has anyone set up a RAID 1 array on this motherboard or just knows their stuff and can give me advice on how to get it to work.

If there isn't a fix for this, would a RAID card present me with the same issues or is there a software RAID solution that would work?

Help me LTT forum, you are my only hope!
