Hi folks,

Apologies if my question is in the wrong section. It's my very first post and I couldn't find a suitable thread on the main page haha

So I recently started using the Panasonic Home Monitoring system for my house. One of the selling features for this was that the user

could access the security recordings on the provided "hub" via an app on their phone or tablet (with wifi or data connection obv haha)

Now, I was hoping to make use of my PC and I tried using the app via an android emulator, first bluestacks then droid4x. But no joy :(

The manual for the security system said that the hub could only be accessed by a device on the same wifi network as the hub itself. So,

in my case, my PC is connected to the service provider router via ethernet.

Okay, so I found a wireless adapter that I had used to update programs after I had built my PC. With my PC connected to the router via the adapter,

I had hoped that the security hub would then be able to discover my PC. However, again, no joy.

Has anyone come across a situation such as this? I know its not too important that I can view the live footage from my PC when I can do the same

from my phone but its just for pure convenience haha.

Thanks in advance and I've learnt a lot from LTT YT vids. Can't wait to explore this community :D

I have no experience with android emulators.
Is the emulator itself connected to your network?

Gaming PCs:
Intel i7 4790k, EVGA GTX 980ti, NZXT H440
Intel i5 7600k, Asus GTX 970 DC Mini, Silverstone SG13B
HTPC: AMD Phenom II X6 1045t, EVGA GTX 770 FTW, Fractal Node 604

From what I can tell the emulator is connected to my network. However the question is to which one? haha

Wifi or ethernet.

I don't think I could permanently disconnect ethernet (games haha) and there are no settings accessible in the UI that

point to selecting a connection point.

Is it possible to block the emulator's firewall access via either the ethernet or adapter settings?

Oh, in the emulator it says the wifi network that the app is connected to is "WiredSSID". Not the same name as my home connection.
