Something to replace my dell

Im looking for something to replace my dell inspiron. It isnt that old but I like it. I like having the 17' screen. I don't really like 15' because they just seem a little to small for me. I also use a mac, yes I know its overpriced but its nice because its quick and i just remote into my desktop. Do you have any suggestions for laptops. It only need to be quick, 17' screen and at least 1tb hard drive

This is the laptop i use and i have no problems with it what so ever, and it has a deticated gpu so u can lightly game on it to.

the asus x751ma is a great choice but if you need a little more power for games or something else you may consider the asus g752vt-dh72v2 which features a i7 and gtx970m graphics. But they both feature a 1.o tb drive and 17.3' screens

My budget is nothing over 3000. I need it for codeing for homework, taking out onto job sites, and video editing

This may be a gaming machine, but it is rather light and thin for its class, and those CUDA cores would come in handy for rendering videos.
