Hello guys! so its finally done, my very first gaming PC is done, thanks to this forum community who greatly helped me! thank you for it! I got few questions before I install programs to PC. I updated all the drivers (except chipset).

my motherboard is B85M-G R.2.0. I can easily find B85M-G chipsets but for R.2.0 version no. can I install B85M-G chipset? or is it even necessary? I installed chipset driver from CD. also is it necessary to update BIOS (with flash drive) ?

and if I do update it, do I need to Reinstall windows or SMTH? btw any tips what should I change in AI TWEAKER? :)) any help is greatly appreaciated :3 #Newbie

No need to update bios unless you are switching to another CPU that isn't supported without the update. You won't need to reinstall Windows. It just flashes your bios. Just don't turn off your PC when it is updating or you might just let your board unusable. I'm guessing it is an AsRock Board?

If you installed the chipset driver from the CD you'll be fine. And if you want to update it you can just use the Intel Driver Update Utility.

No, you don't have to update the BIOS. The only time you should update it, is if you have massive stability issues (or is overclocking and every MHz counts).

And no, you don't have to reinstall Windows if you update your BIOS.

AI Tweaker I can't help you with, unfortunartly.

if its not needed I wont update it then. its just 2013 year version (as said), that's why I asked :)) I don't OC or anything, just made sure if I need update. and no its Asus board.

one more question, do I need Intel Rapid Technology? I know that you need it for SSD's or smth. but I just have HDD
