Hello All! My budget without peripherals is 1100, I plan on using this build to program in Objective C, C# as well as to prepare me for competing in ACM(coding competitions), i will be doing moderate to enthusiast level gaming on this rig Which will be mostly Vr, as well as some Space simulations. The following Vr games:

               starcitizen-1350051332.jpg

  • Star citizen...(fan-girl scream)
  • Skyrim
  • EVE: Valkyrie
  • Portal 2
  • Hawkin
  • TF2
  • Half life
  • Any good Games coming out 2014...

My location is in the U.s so i'm working with USD, planning on running 2 monitors at 1080p because Yolo. No. Not really, more for Effiecent programming/ Debugging, You could say the O.R is a 3rd monitor?? The Consumer version will likely be at the same resoultion, but i will be playing with my Dev kit for now.

Peripherals:

Keyboard:Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire TK  Mx cherry-Browns, Loved the white backlight and price, but really wanted something organized and compact, Favorite switches are mx cherry Reds, although Browns are a good compromise.

Mouse: Anker 8000 Dpi mouse,  i mostly play Dota 2, and the 3 side buttons really help as well as The ability to switch Led colors is pretty cool. I also Palm grips,(have really big hands)

As for the Flight Sticks/ Headsets, i am still undetermined but leading Towards the Dedicated headset:

Sony MDR7506  Link: http://goo.gl/md78QN

or the

Sony MDR-XB500 because of the bass, which we all know phasing and pew-pewing your enemies to death requires. link:http://goo.gl/1KS77h

Now as for the Joysticks i am Still looking and wondering What to buy but my budget for it is probably going to be around $120  but as little as possible, while maintaining quality.

Although i am looking at the

"Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick" link: http://goo.gl/67TiJV

And for the simulator pedals: "

CH Products Pro Pedals USB Flight Simulator Pedals " link: http://goo.gl/I7Ob8e

Would love if i could find Force feedback Joystick for around 100.

If you have anything to recommend please feel free to do so and thank you for Reading my Build ideas.

F.A.Q

Why did you choose the 770?

Well star citizens specs are recommended to be about a 670, so a 760 would of sufficed but i wanted to play games such as metro last light, and crysis on high, and possibly Maybe, Get a triple monitor setup which would need more Vram, also wanted to be ready for the future and not have to upgrade for another year or 2, until i decide to Sli, which by then i'll have a better Psu.

Why is there only a 2g 770 on your list, when your buying the 4gb?

Pcpartpicker doesn't have the 4gb listed and it's only around 50ish more, I'll probably will be buying the Evga version, Or maybe the Wind force for overclocking, hmmm first world problems....

the mouse listed in my build has been purchased and i purposely left it there to account for the price difference. Evga version of 770:

May i ask why you changed the monitors aswell?

IPS panels has better colors and viewing angles than TN.
