Hey all! So I am starting to mess around with adobe preimer enjoying it. So much so over the next few weeks I plan to teach myself even more. Depending on how it goes I am thinking about saving up for a mostly new rig. The only reason I didn't get an i7-6700k is because how freaking expensive it is right now and I can still overclock the non-k cpu. I have that asus VG28QE already but the color on it is pretty blarg so figured why not throw in a nice ips of the same size. The WD red is for storage of raw footage. I also know Asrock isn't the only one who supports the non-k overclocking but I've used their boards for awhile and I've had 0 issues so just sticking to them. :)

I recommend the r9 390, as its around the price range of the 970 but generally performs better.

I already have a 970. Also I happen to love shadowplay for recording game play footage. I know amd has a similar thing but I've had no issues so far and my frame rate in games are fine at 1080p. :)
