So my system has been running stable for 3 weeks now.

But today the PC crashed and the screen went blank and the monitor kept on flashing no video output.

I restarted the PC and it ran smooth for about 5 hours and then it crashed again except this time the case fans started spinning at full speed upon crash.

Now I have even worse system stability and sometimes the computer fails to post completely and the fans spin at full speed straight away, other times I can get into windows and run it for 5 minutes and then it crashes.

Windows event log reports Kernel power 41 error ID, however from what I have read it is a very generic error ID.

Here is my PC Build.

Kernel 41 usually comes down to a few things Overheating, psu or Ram. In this case it sounds like its just a faulty psu. You could run memtest or try different ram but I have my money on faulty psu, Try with a different psu and see where that leads you.

The fact that the PC crashes upon startup in some cases, would that make you lean more towards it being a faulty PSU?

Does the computer post? Can you get into bios or does it just get to windows then fail?

When it crashes upon start up it's:

  • Push power button.
  • Computer crash (fans spin full speed straight away and fails to post).

But then other times it posts and gets into windows and then crashes after a short period of time.

I would check all the connections, But It sounds like it is the power supply. I would Swap out the psu if you have a spare one/have a friend with a computer and see where that leads you. I would try the ram first tho , 1 stick in ect but it seems like psu
