Parts list for a friend.

Hi everyone  :)

My friend is wanting to get into PC gaming and asked me to give him a list of parts to build with.

He mostly plays fps games and Warthunder/World of Tanks and he has a budget of around $1500 NZD. (I'm ordering all components from mightyape.co.nz to keep shipping simple)

I've made up this list and was looking for any constructive feedback or recommendations  ^_^

SYSTEM:

AMD FX 6300

8GB G.SKILL RipjawsX 1600MHz DDR3

Asus STRIX GTX 960 2GB

Asus M5A97 R2.0

1TB WD Caviar Blue

Corsair CS550M

SilverStone PS09

Windows 10 64bit Home

Acer K222HQL

PERIPHERALS:

I'm also looking for help on peripherals. He has a budget of about $500 NZD, he is looking at:

Logitech G502

Logitech G310

Logitech G430 7.1

He doesn't really care what brand his peripherals are as long as they match. Any other recommendations?

Thanks  :D

Where on earth is NZD and look towards the 8320/50 instead.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

I'd recommend going against your one site rule, if you really want to help your friend you should get him the best deals rather than be bothered by ordering from more than one site.

Power supply could be better but could you really push for an FX-8320e?

The price jump is just a bit too high for him...

I can see where you are coming from and I agree, I would do the same. But I won't be the person paying for or ordering the system, he will be. It was his request not mine.

Well all considering I would tell him to wait until the new AMD stuff comes out at least or convince him that the extra money is well worth it

All parts and prices from https://m.mightyape.co.nz/

I've left out the PSU because I couldn't find a decent one. As the others said, try to get it from multiple sites for getting the best bang for your buck. Anyway:

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)  ($100.00 @ MicrosoftSoftwareSwap)
Other: Acer K222HQL ($169.99)
Total: $1332.94
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

EVGA SuperNova 750W G1 could squeeze in there for about $80 USD

It's a low tier PSU to be honest and there are much more reliable options out there.
