$300 for a 360mm AIO liquid cooler, but is it worth it? I know it's expandable if you eventually want to set up your own custom water cooling loop, but how does it stack up to other 360mm AIO, like Thermaltake's Water 3.0 series?

Also, does EKWB ever go on sale on their featured products, like the Predator?

Its worth it if you ever plan on doing a custom loop. As far as I can tell its about the same as other 360mm AIO. BUT it uses actual custom l loop grade components so in theory it is better.

As far as sales I couldn't answer that.

Not sure about sales, but you can likely find a coupon for Performance PCS, where the EK Predator can be bought.

I was thinking about picking up the Predator, but I knew I was going to expand my loop pretty quickly, so I just said screw it and drew up plans for a custom loop to start. If you want something relatively easy and don't think you're gonna need much more capacity, for example, only adding one GPU, then an expandable AIO might make sense. EK makes prefilled water blocks that have the quick disconnects attached. You will literally only need to unplug the disconnects in your loop and plug the new block in. That's the upside.

Unless you plan on throwing more in the loop, I don't know if it would justify the $100 premium over the 240 for a cpu only loop. But the EK 240 and 360 is a great aio, using technically custom loop parts: laing ddc pump, supremacy MX block, and a variation of the cool-stream PE rad, and you get their vardar fans. They're really a good value considering what you get and the fact that to piece the 240 loop together in their store would cost almost $400 with tax and shipping. On top of that you get EK support. EK is one of the only companies I've dealt with that just stands behind their products 100 percent and is willing to work with you even on things they really wouldn't technically have to. I really can't say enough good about their support team.
