I had purchased a Corsair cx430m through Newegg.  They had listed, at the date of purchase (Jan 19) that it was eligible for a $20 mail-in rebate.  I go find the rebate forms and Corsair says it's only a $10 rebate.  Since it's the manufacturer that deals with rebates, I don't think they'll be motivated to pay for someone else's mistake.  Plus even if I had some proof that Newegg advertised the $20 rebate (should have taken a screenshot), I'm not sure I'd have much recourse if Newegg still told me tough luck.  Since it's only $10, should I just let it go?

Make sure you selected the correct model number for the rebate. Manufacturer's will often use one rebate form for many items and the value of the rebate will depend on the model number selected. I have cashed in many NewEgg MIRs and never had an incorrect amount.

I double checked.  I did see that they have a $20 rebate for the CX430 for the date in question, which makes me wonder if Newegg just made a simple mistake.
