Posted January 27, 2016 Hi, So let's cut to the chase I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 on my new ssd about 2 weeks ago and today when I go to use my pc it says insert boot media. So I unplug 2 of the other hard drives I have in there just in case if it was loading from that and also the cd drive. Still the same thing I even put windows 7 disc to see if I could run repair but that doesn't work. I have even trI'd different satay cables and still nothing. If anyone has any ideas on what I should do any help would be appreciated. First try re-seating the SSD - you'd be surprised how often a few knocks and bangs can slightly dislodge a drive and cause it to not be detected... If that doesn't work remove it and hook it up via a USB to SATA adapter to another PC to see if it gets detected that way, if not its most likely buggered DISPLAYS: LG 27UL500 IPS 4k60hz + HDR and LG 27GL650F IPS 1080p 144hz + HDR LAPTOP: Lenovo Legion 5 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H GPU: RTX 3070 8GB RAM: 16GB 3200MHz (2x8GB DDR4) STORAGE: 4TB Crucial P3 NVMe SSD + 2TB Samsung 970 evo plus NVMe SSD DISPLAY: 1080p 165hz IPS OS: Windows 11 Pro x64 Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/535662-select-proper-boot-device/#findComment-7105719 Share on other sites
 Posted January 27, 2016 If above doesnt work the bootloader could have been damaged, try something called GRUB2, its a linux tool if this can boot into Windows you need to try fix the bootloader (The installer CD should do it with an integrity check I believe) What does an Transformer get? If it works via USB, you should be able to get all the data off it, then I would just format and do a fresh install of windows...
