What apps and utilities does ChromOS come preinstalled with?

It is literally an OS version of chrome. So any extension or chrome app that you could install in chrome can be installed and used in chromeOS. Unfortunately you can't install anything else.

Of course it is still possible to dump chromeOS and install a Linux distro of your choice. And regain the freedom of choosing your browser, video player. etc.
