is it bad if glasswire tells me that the hosts file is being changed?

Well what was changed?  Open it up and show us.  It's possible some malware is attempting to block you from getting to certain websites but let's not jump to conclusions.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

well when i open it i only see whats supposed to be there.

Then nothing was changed.  It might be interesting to let it do the changed (if you blocked it) and see what (if anything) happens.

OK, download malwarebytes, install and update it then reboot into safe mode and run a full scan asap.

I assume you have "hide system files" or whatever it is turned off too?
