Windows 8.1 automatic repair loop

Hey there guys!

Apparently my gf's laptop died

She started it and suddenly the windows automatic repair started. Well now every boot leads to the automatic repair and i have no chance to make it run again.

i've downloaded the win 8.1 installation media and tried to boot it from the usb stick but if i do so it loops and the automatic repair begins again.

 

i personally think that the hard drive died but i can still hear it working "normally". what may be the issue and how can it be solved without losing any data? because my super smart girlfriend gives a sh*t about backupping ^^

That doesn't sounds like booting from usb, had the same issue with my laptop, I ended up reinstalling windows 10.

well i tried so but he again loops the automatic repair  

 

i've now connected the hdd to my computer and tried to save the "desktop" data she had on her laptop but he can't find the path is there any other way to save the desktop items?

ok so i managed to find the folders but when i want to open them it says "no acces"
