Hey techie's,

If a pc makes a high pitched noise while off does this mean coil whine ? And if yes is this something a manufactor will replace under waranty.

When the Pc powers on the noise disapears.

Sorry for the bad grammer i bet i misspelled a lot xD.

im guessing since it only happens when the pc is turned of it is most likely the PSU to bad i dont have the pc here atm to verify this xD but still no closer to coil whine being a warranty issue or not xD

It is the power supply; they still have current going through them when they are off.  Most power supply vendors will replace a unit for coil whine, but you would have to check with Acer to see if their warranty covers it.
