I've noticed that my processor (an i5 4200u in my laptop) has recently been running a lot faster than it usually has while idle. Normally it would stay around 800 MHz idle with 3% utilization, but recently it's been staying in the 2.3-2.4 GHz range (maximum turbo boost capability is 2.6 GHz) with 7-11% utilization while idle.

Nothing's really changed with my system recently other than using a second monitor and even when it isn't hooked up to my laptop my CPU still does this. Has anyone heard of this happening before or know of anything that might be causing this?
