It has no Adaptive Sync or Freesync technology - it was released before the technology was available. If you can find the G-Sync mod, you can use that but it only works with NVIDIA cards and may not be found anymore. It uses DP 1.2.

The VG248QE uses DisplayPort 1.2, and does not support Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync. It is just a regular 144Hz monitor. There was a special edition G-Sync board which could be outfitted to give it G-Sync, but this was only a limited edition product and is no longer available.
