Hello,

A few months ago I got an old laptop from a member of family that had Vista on it. The laptop is an ASUS X50RLSeries. I have installed Windows 10 on it. I have also connected it to a Dell monitor. You know the old ones. (http://www.amazon.com/Dell-E198FP-Monitor-1280x1024-Resolution/dp/B0017CV78Y) I believe it supports  1280x1024 although I don't know the resolution for the laptop.

Every time I start up the laptop I have to unplug the VGA before boot and unplug after login and when I do that I still Have to press Fn + F8 twice.

I have been to Display settings but no luck there. Any software that can help me out? It would be appreciated.

Thanks
