Hi, i just formated a laptop not long ago, i've used windows 7 ultimate fully updated, all drives are installed and up-to-date. My problem is for some reason my laptop is using it's NVIDIA card constantly instead of switching to the onboard graphics to while idle. Any ideas what could be causing that? It's an ASUS N53SN.

Hello, isn't there a option in the Nvidia control panel to disable the Nvidia GPU in the "manage 3D preferences -> general preferences"?

CPU: Intel i5 6600 @ 3.3GHz (Boost 3.9GHz) | Motherboard: ASUS Skylake Z170-K | RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB DDR4 @ 2133MHz GPU: ASUS GeForce STRIX GTX970 OC 4GB | SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB + 250GB | PSU: Cooler Master GM Series G650M | Case: Cooler Master CM 690 III (side window)

There is that options but it's not working, NVIDIA is still running after switching it there. The PC knows that the Intel onboard is there and has it's drivers and it's always been an automatic switch when you play a game or a visualy intensive software but it's stuck i don't know what to do.

Weirdly enough it was some magic trick or something because it seems GForce Experience was the problem, if i installed my driver using it's automatic updater the NVIDIA GPU would stay on forever after uninstalling a couple times and finally installing the driver from the basic installer from the site it worked (even tough that also install GFex afterwards) Weird stuff.
