So i'm starting a new website and i'm letting someone else doing the logo/banner desgin.

My question is, what do you guys think of this logo/banner? What could I change to make it better?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

The gradient is nice, make it from the bottom left corner to top right corner, not just across the page

The whole TechForest looks kind of plain to me, just white. Or maybe it's meant to be like that, like some minimalistic feature?

I wanted it to look simplistic with a little bit of creativity in it.

the guy clearly didn't take a design class

lacks contrast and at least 2 design mistakes. and they are so easy to fix.

are you paying the guy ? (lol hope not)

he uses 3 different fonts for 6 words, and they are all from the same family basically a sin 

the E in tech makes no sense. is it for world ? where else do you mention "world" or something ?  (also. unless its an 0 life forest, its very weird and kinda ugly)

there are some association problems (spacing betwene letters and words placements is awefully done imo. 

and the alignement is terrible. the guy didn't even try

edit ; also, the O in forest, why the bold ? I mean. why ? itsure isin't repetition, cus the E(only other letter thats not text) isin't bigger, but actually thinner.  makes no sense

Ilove the circuit things in the background, reminds me of the forest thing. I like that

The "world kind of icon" is actually an C and not an E. The designer said it was an "www" (world wide web icon) and changed it into an "C". I don't know many thinks about designing logo's and banners that's why I asked you guys. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!

oups, I ment C. anyway. doesn't make any sense for a C. WWW is not W. and he can't change that. hi might think it looks cool. but it has to make sense too. I though it was for world or somthing not www

This gradient combination looks exactly what I've used when I was creating a wpf theme. Might not be that big of a deal but there's still that possibility of the combination being too familiar since it's widely available as I got it off from some site that offers free gradient combinations.

And green would fit also with the "Forest" theme.
