Xbox One Apple Earbuds?

SuntannedBeast

Whenever I plug in my Apple Earbuds into my newer xbox one controller, the audio comes in fine from the game, but my mic doesn't work. I have the mic turned on in the settings and everything...

The audio jack on the controller is speaker only, you can't use a mic.

No it's not. On my el cheapo headphones as well as my earbuds the mic works and I just about deafened myself when I coughed into the mic (had the listening function turned on).

OP, there is a possibility that the earbuds might not send the signal in the way that the controller wants. Both my HTC earbuds and my el cheapo headphones work fine though.

The pinout of the earbud jack is different than the Xbox one

The Mic portion of the jack doesn't physically make the correct contacts

the apple headphone layout is different. That's why the mic and controller don't work on other devices but Apple. They switched some things around.
