What Yuannan said.

Is it failing to get to your OS, or are you trying a different OS drive? Or is it just failing to boot into UEFI mode in the BIOS?

For my pertinent links to guides, reviews, and anything similar, go here, and look under the spoiler labeled such. A brief history of Unix and it's relation to OS X by Builder.

just failing to boot to uefi

... So, you can boot to your OS on your hard drive?

You should go into your BIOS and make sure CSM (Compatibility Support Module) is set correctly. Everything is always named differently depending on who manufactured the Mobo, so I don't know what ASRock's thing is. For ASUS, it's just listed as CSM. Sometimes it's under Boot tab and sometimes it's part of the main settings.

There are two options for me:

  1. UEFI and Legacy
  2. UEFI driver only

That, or I turn CSM off completely, but that breaks my boot usually.

Have you tried UEFI only? Or what options do you have on ASRock?

Clears totaly the UEFI that makes it like a new when you bought it. But i wasnt talking about that one im talking about that button whats on the right cirner up near to the 24 pin conector and ram that one does optimalise your your hardware for use. Sometimes underclocks it but needs to be hand fixed by you from the bios

Clears all settings made to BIOS and shows you window asking for load optimized defaults or go to BIOS for changing them. You can clear CMOS wither by button or removing BIOS battery for 15s when PC is powered off and disconnect from wall power. Refer to mobo manual for details.

can  it be my monitor...DELL E2414H

No it can't. But it can be your keyboard if its connected to USB3 port.

You may need to press and hold the f2 or del key depending on motherboard ( refer to manual for more information) then press the power button, ensure that fast boot is turned off in Windows 10.

Method 2

Keep pressing f9 to acess the advance options for Windows ( refer to manual for more information) then click on troubleshooting then look for uefi
