Dunno if this message should be in this section but here it goes. So my uncle decided he wants to get a PC, as usual i recommend him to get a brand new one from the store with warranty and such but he doesnt want to spend that much on it. So i search on a similar "craigslist" website that we use in our country for second hand part and i've found a system with the following configuration

CPU: Intel® CORE2 Duo CPU E8200 2.66GHz (2CPUs)

MB: Foxconn p35a-s

Power Supply: "Firecracker" Glacial Power 450W

Memory: Kingston 4096MB(4Gb)

Videocard: Palit Nvidia GeForce 210

DVD Writer: Asus x2

HDD: Western Digital 250Gb

Comes with a lower end case and a 19" monitor ( LG Flatron L1919S )

Is it a "good deal" for some web browsing/web chatting/movies/ some ocassional low end games i believe. Any recommended tests i should do first before buying the unit?

You can find cheaper and better PC's trust me, mate of mine managed to get a 2nd Gen top end I5 and 8GB RAM for £100

Well the thing is that the city that i`m in is VERY small and i suggested that we should look in a nearby city that i've found a lot better offers then this one right now but he said no. So i`m stuck with this one. What tests do you guys recommend i shoul do first?

Prime 95 to max out the CPU to see if it dies, watch the temps while you do it, also a crystal disk check to see the speed of the disk, and also ASUS real bench will the be the best one to do, that will give the PC a REAL push

I can't stop spending money my stupid home lab, help.

Hi are you from South Africa because I noticed the OLX name in the picture. You said that it costs around 200 euros which is about R3600.00 that's really really expensive. Don't search on OLX for used PC's rather use Gumtree way more options and for that kind of money used you can easily find an i5 sandy bridge system on Gumtree, for about R1000 you can find core 2 quad systems. But I really recommend buying new especially for that kind of money ,Wootware.co.za is a great place to shop.
