gpu or cpu upgrade?

I currently have a 750 ti sc and I want to upgrade to a 390 but I need to know if there is a way to record video with amd cards similar to the shadowplay software?

 

Or I could upgrade my cpu to something like a 5820k or something and use OBS

Do you think a 5820K is needed for OBS + high settings in games? I run most games on high settings and use OBS (over Shadowplay), it outputs just fine, even with an i5 6600.

Upgrade to a GTX 970 (OBS is CPU intensive so Shadowplay will benefit you)

I meant it as it's the lowest end CPU on the platform, doesn't mean it's a low end CPU
