Just got a EVGA 980ti Hybrid. Pretty happy with the core overclocking potential as I crossed 1500mhz just by increasing the power limit to it's max at 110. But the memory won't overclock at all. Even if I drop the core clock back to 1480mhz even adding 100mhz to the memory causes issues. GPU-Z says I have Samsung memory, so not sure why this is happening. I'm using EVGA PrecisionX 16 and the most voltage I've given it is +24mV. Should I ad more voltage or is it not worth casing the memory clock speed?

And yes, this is 99% just wanting to know where it will clock to.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

precisionx / afterburner wont increase voltage, itll just set voltage to max (the voltage it has when on max boost)

also, core is where the party's at. id suggest to have a look at the OCN 980TI G1 custom bios thread. theres a lot of information about the GM200 chip and how it works with overclocking. (like really in dept) you can copy that bios 1:1 to your evga with maxwell bios editor if youre comfortable with it. heres a link http://www.overclock.net/t/1544574/gigabyte-gtx-9xx-g1-gaming-h2o-air-bios-tweaking

my msi 980ti 6g gaming would not increase memory while at 1500mhz core. with that bios, it does 1540/8000mhz at 1.243v

I won't flash the bios. I run mine at the base clock and still max everything out. Really just a curiosity,

well you gotta try it your self then, every card is different. but one can tell from the ASIC score. whats yours? (open gpu z and rightclick on the title bar read ASIC quality)

Mine just might be a core clocker and not a memory clocker, which is odd for having Samsung but not going to worry too much. Running over 1500mhz on the core during Valley the highest temp I saw was 47c  These Hybrids are nuts.
