I am trying to move my Steam folder form one drive to another and this one file keeps getting an error. i don't know whats causing it but it tells me its some sort of I/O error. I stupidly forgot to get the error code that came along with it but does anyone have any idea why its doing this? BTW the drive works fine and its staying connected nothing it happening to the drive its something to do with a file.

I've done this before. What folder specifically are you moving? I first redownload Steam to the new drive, restart, boot back up, and exit Steam. Use the old drive as external and transfer necessary files to new drive.

Yea, make sure Steam is off and not hiding in the background, it might have a lock on a file in the steam folder, check the task manager in case its not quitting when you quit it.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.
