Hey everyone, as it said in the title, at random times whenever I boot my pc "usually in the morning" the first time I boot it, it says on the megatrend posting page:

"overclocking failed! ... and more info etc. press F1 for bios"

Then I have to restart my pc and it works... Weird? Why wouldn't it show up again?

Anyway, I am confused by this error because I AM NOT OVERCLOCKED it even says 4 Ghz on the menu... My cpu is running 100% stock and my ram is XMP 2666 not overclocked, running at it's stock speeds. I have NO CLUE why this happens and I don't know if I should keep ignoring it... My voltage usage is below 1.3 Volts  and the temps are around 30° and around 65° Celsius under 100% Load.

Specifications on my system is below in my signature.

Any help is appreciated.

Your CPU should boost even without you overclocking, its a factory function but is still overclocking. Id do as above, clear CMOS and set your BIOS default and see if the errors disappears

first, try the good ol' clearing of the CMOS. This can be done by removing the CMOS battery on the motherboard, waiting 30 seconds and putting it back in

Is this safe? I have never done that before, I know what it is but I do have private data on my PC and stuff installed.

But I don't have any specific bios settings, the only thing I have overclocked in my system is my GPU which is ROCK solid.

Do you think I should try updating my motherboard's bios first?
