Posted January 14, 2016 my machine has 2*4 gb corsair vengence 9-9-9-24 1333mhz , i am thinking of getting another 8gb single stick same spec 9-9-9-24 1333mhz . so what will happen if i use one 4 gb and another 8gb . will this be 12gb dual channel ? or single 12gb ? my mobo asus h81-m cs has only two ram slots . Posted January 14, 2016 It will be either single 4gb and single 8gb. Or dual 2x8gb and single 8gb. Either way, difference isn't noticeable in normal situations.
