Looking for Headset Recommendations

Go to solution Solved by AllHokage,

Thanks for your recommendation. I did look at those ones along with the SteelSeries Siberia Elite Prism. How would you compare the two in terms of quality and comfort?

I own the Cloud II and have tested the SteelSeries 650 (rebrand).

For the price difference it's not worth it, the Cloud II is all you need for a gaming headset. I can wear it all day without my ears hurting, hence the "Cloud" name. It's mic is amazing (I can link you to a video I made with it yesterday if  you need) and the sound quality is amazing for the price (if you have the dac module connected).

The real mic I want to test is the "ATH-AG1X", sadly they are $400.

Hello tipsters,

It's been a long time since I've bought a headset and my old set is starting to die. I'm looking for a wired gaming headset with 7.1 surround sound, a clear sounding microphone with a quick mute button and preferably light and comfortable on the ears. My budget is upwards of $300aud (roughly 210usd).

Can you guys recommend anything?

Thanks.

Awesome thanks a lot, Hyper X it is. The only question is the red or the grey...  <_<

If you want to use more of your budget, go for a good pair of Headphones.

AKG K612 Pro, AKG K701, or Beyerdynamic DT 880 250 Ohm (quite natural, incredible soundstage).

Or more bassy? beyerdynamic DT 990 pro (open cans), or DT 770 Pro (closed cans).

Those headphones completely destroy every single gaming headset that was ever made, and will ever be made (a 25 year old Beyerdynamic headphone destroys every current gaming headset).

Plus, such a good headphone will last you without problems for 10-20+ Years.
