Hi there I've been having trouble with a pny 128gb usb drive that it is write protected. I have tried everything: there is no switch, registry fix storagedevicepolicies to 0 & diskpart format. Any help will be appreciated.

P.S. There is no important file in there I just want it to work.

Has it been performing worse at all lately?  I've had drives fail and in the weeks running up, they got slow, and then acted as if they were write protected before finally dying outright.  Not saying that's what's happened; just a thought.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

If that's true... I wonder if it's some sort of fail safe to prevent further degradation of data? Hmmmmm
