PC audio through Bluetooth speakers

I've paired Bluetooth speakers to my PC but they aren't appearing under Plakback devices in the Sound menu, even after a restart.  How do I make them my default audio output device?

The Asus Sabretooth z77 doesnt have bluetooth, unless you already have a bluetooth adapter then you will be needing one.

I have a Bluetooth adapter, that's how it's already paired.

 

My Bluetooth adapter is listed as V2.0 under Devices in Windows 10 but the speakers are V3.0 on their spec sheet.  They managed to pair but could this be the problem?

Yes that will be the problem most likely, get a version 3.0 or 4.0 for $3 and see if that fixes it.
