GPU acting wierd

Go to solution Solved by kekerino,

*PROBLEM FOUND AND SOLVED*

it would seem that the problem is my second monitor (XL2411Z) that is causing the Mhz throttle.

It is easily solved by turning down refresh rate from 144 to 120

Okay, I'm assuming you've used more than one piece of software to check your GPU's stats. Have you also made sure to be running all the latest drivers (I believe latest version is 361.43), and have you recently installed anything? As sometimes programs can cause this.

Maybe, the only antivirus i have is windows defender and Malwarebytes. What would you reccomend?

I  do remeber installing some things but not anything that could interfere. I have also been tinkering with the 0db mod (look it up in the forum) And my drivers are always up to date,

Some programs may use your GPU without your knowledge. But what is your GPU useage and  does it resort to that core clock after immediately starting windows?

It's at about 1%

Then your not being mined or anything else.

Out of curiosity can you remove all non-essential start up programs and after restarting check your core clock again?

If this doesn't work do you have an overclock on it? If so try removing it, and  the 0db mod and if that fails completely re-install your drivers. If this fails I reckon some program you have installed is being a royal pain in the behind for you so you might need to do some testing to see if any one program is causing this (By forcing some programs to close).

I only have Realtek drivers,Java,Corsair utility engine,Ccleaner,Nvidiabackend as startup programs, so it can't be anything there.
