Hey guys!

Recently, I have added a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD to my system. Before, I just had a 1TB HDD and things were pretty slow. So, I went on LifeHacker to see what they said about migrating over to an SSD (the link will be at the bottom of the post). I followed everything step by step. I download EaseUS to clone my HDD over to my SSD. I formatted the SSD first just to make sure nothing was on it. The cloning was done, and I went into File Explorer to confirm. Everything checked out, so I rebooted my system. When I rebooted, I entered the BIOS to change the boot order so that my SSD was ahead of my HDD. I went to boot, and it said "Diagnosing your PC" and "Attempting Automatic Repairs" and then it brought me to the screen where you can restore your computer, etc. So, I selected "Shut Down". I was really confused about this. I mean, my SSD had the exact same information as my HDD. So, I turned on my computer and booted from my HDD just for fun. About 30 seconds passed, and I saw the login screen. I am really confused.

If you guys could help me out, that would be great because I don't want to have to boot from my HDD anymore. I want it to be for just documents, and not have Windows 10 on it. I want my SSD to have Windows + key applications and games.

Thanks!

Ethan

PS: I really don't want to have to reinstall Windows 10. I have had to do that once already and it was such a pain. I also have a backup of all my data just in case something bad happens.
