Hey guys, I'm planning on building myself a new gaming pc. I Already picked a few parts but I'd like to have your advice on them, since this is my first PC build.

RAM: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MMLUYQK/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1452182801&sr=8-4π=AC_SX220_SY330_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=16+gb+ddr4&dpPl=1&dpID=51B8n4yUPWL&ref=plSrch

Budget: If possible not more then 1300 $. As I am from Germany not more then 1200 €.

Location: Germany

Aim: First of all I want to use for the daily stuff and things like surfing on the internet, watching movies/videos or writing documents. I also want to use it to play the latest games like the Witcher 3 and Batman Arkham Knight. I'd love to play these games on high/ultra graphic settings, that's why I chose a pretty decent graphics card, I guess :D. Next year I will most likely start an apprenticeship as a kind of software developer, so the PC should pretty good for programming either.

Storage: Im thinking of 240 gb SSD for the OS and maybe a few programming programs (sounds weird, doesn't it?).

Peripherals: I need a decent mouse and keyboard that aren't that expensive since I will be playing and working alot with it. At the moment I will be getting a 1080p screen, but I will get another one when I start my apprenticeship.

OS: I don't need an extra OS since I will be using my current windows key of my Laptop, which is possible from what I've heard.

I hope you guys can give me some good advices :)! Thank you very much for the help :)

P.S. I apologise for any grammatical and other mistakes I made :)

Quite similar to the one I'm building except mine is DDR4. DDR3 will be OK but if you plan on this being a long term PC for upgrades, I'd go DDR4. Otherwise, best of luck!

My Build: Night Fury | i5-6600k @ 4.5Ghz | R9 390 | 850 EVO 250GB | 1TB Seagate | H230 Black

Go with DDR4 it is way better and faster It'll only make the cost go up just a bit! :)

Thank you guys very much for the fast replies :) it was actually supposed to be DDR4 RAM, I just kind of failed choosing it. Since I can't find a pretty cheap one in pc picker, here is the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MMLUYQK/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1452182801&sr=8-4π=AC_SX220_SY330_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=16+gb+ddr4&dpPl=1&dpID=51B8n4yUPWL&ref=plSrch

Do you guys think 16gb ram is useful, or should I just go with the cheaper 8gb ram?

Don`t forget that when your buying DDR4, that you`ll have to look at mobo compatibility

to game or not to game, that`s the question
