An AMD FX 8350 could suit you well, i think.

Im no good on AMD components, but i think its quite alot better than your current CPU, and no mobo change neccesary.

Theory is when you know everything but nothing works. Practice is when everything works but you dont know why. In this computer, theory and practice are combined: Nothing works and i dont know why.

Atleast i can manage Some things, like my current OC personal best.

Grab a i5 4460 and a H97 motherboard. It'll add up to $250-300 USD.

Well, then im out of ideas. Im better when it comes to Intel in this case, and id say a i5 6600K should do the trick.
