I have been doing my research on this card because I plan on upgrading from my 550ti but I found out that my 620 watt psu won't be engough to power the computer becasue the card itself requires at least 500 watts is this true and would you upgrade to this card if you are a casual gamer that plays games like bf3 and plan on getting bf4 when it comes out as well as gta 5

it will be more than enoug, the card only uses 225 watts, but they receommend 500 watt because you also hav e a processor and mobo and that kind of things

but even a 550watt psu will be enough

500W power supply minimum doesn't mean the card by itself consumes 500W, it means they recommend a minimum of 500W on your power supply.  They are aware that you are running the graphics card in a computer, not by itself.

For the record, 550W is enough for any single graphics card.

I plan on waiting until nov. but would you guys upgrade from a 550ti with the new games coming out.

Yeah, the 550 Ti is pretty old and not the greatest.  The 7970 is a great deal right now (assuming that you get one of the ones that is a great deal, the prices vary widely :P)

Hmmm, I think you mean any consumer level single graphics card THAT is out now.... Who knows what the future might bring :)

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.
