So a while ago I seen Linus's video on how to get the best from Windows 8 and how to get the start menu back, by using Ninite Installer and installing Classic Shell. I installed Classic Shell and configured it to exactly what my Start Menu was like in Windows 7, then after a while I found a little program called ex7forw8. This program grabs the explorer.exe from your Windows 7 disc and installs it over the Windows 8 explorer.exe and completely disables the MetroUI, which also saves you a bit of RAM.

 

Thought Id post this here as i couldn't find a topic here about it and it is also an alternative to Classic Shell. Little more information in the link below.
