VMWare Workstation 12 Pro..

Go to solution Solved by Sauron,

Depending on your hardware, some older games run just fine. It depends on what you are playing. It has no impact on what's going on outside the vm except of course it borrows resources from the host. I use it to run age of empires 2 on my linux laptop, it works perfectly. Still, since it's not cheap, you may want to stick with 10 for now or use vmware player.

If anyone is currently using this piece of software and has used the ability to segment VRAM from video, what if any impacts have you had outside of the VM? Have you played any games or do anything that's graphically intensive?

I currently use VMWare ver 10 and am thinking of upgrading but not sure if I should wait until the next iteration to ensure stability with this piece of functionality.
