I don't think you need any software while installing CPU, I'm like 99.99999% sure about that..

What is this "CPU Tool" you speak of? If you are referring to the Chipset drivers for your board, then yes, they should be installed.

No the z170 motherboards by asus come with a tool to install the cpu
