Hi

I recently build a computer and after about a month of use i encountered a sudden drop in frame rate and it continue would to run at a low fps. This would happen after about an hour of play, usually after i had spent a extended amount of time in the in-game menu ( upgrading a character for example). The highest temperature I've seen on the GPU is 88ºC. I've tried clean installing gpu drivers using DDU and that didn't did fix the problem.

PC specs:
i7-6700k

Asus z170 pro gaming
Kingston 32gb DDR4

asus 980ti strix

Evga supernova g2 750w

CoolerMaster Nepton 240M

Samsung 850 evo

WD black

edit: running windows 10 64bit

Thanks.

Sounds like a gpu overheating Issue. Try reapplying a new coat of thermal paste to your gpu.

that voids asus warranty I think.

Then no choice but to RMA the card If there's an Issue or Turn up the fans and live with the noise.

on the 750ti there is a warranty sticker on the screw same with 970

is that the same cooler they've been using on all the cards over the past three years that stopped being effective almost two years ago because they didn't redesign it for the newer archtecture?

didn't you try ramping up the fan speed manually at all?
