Android Marshmallow Questions

Go to solution Solved by FAQBytes,

Perhaps try to use a different cable as well. Some are very poor at... well being a cable.

I am currently running XenonHD 6.0 on my LG G3 and have a few questions.

Is there any faster way to transfer files other than the horrid MTP?

Also, which option would be better, using my SD card as part of internal storage or as a separate storage medium?

Thanks.

You could always do a cloud based storage solution (Not fully versed on marshmallow) if you think that might be faster. I normally used to use an SD card as internal storage, as I see no reason why it should be made external.

The problem I'm having right now is that I can't access my SD card in the OS as i have to format it within Marshmallow for it to work but i need my data off. So I'm stuck with using TWRP to access my SD Card

I higly doubt it will be the cable as this is what came with the phone. Also, most of my other micro-usb cables are broken

Well, QC can be garbage sometime. If you can live with doing it VIA WiFi, or to cloud, by all means, but I'd say at least give another cable a chance.

Do you not have a micro-SD to SD card adapter that you could transfer all the files on the SD card to a computer?

Unfortunately, no. Also, it seems like another USB cable is faster. Thanks for that tip

No problem. With being the techie for a family of 6 plus the extended family, you learn stuff quite quickly.
