Possibly bricked my old 6850

Tomasu

God I'm dumb sometimes. sometimes.

I had flashed the bios years ago (up to 800/1200mhz from 775/1000mhz iirc), and I was thinking that's what was causing the fan speed issues (always at 75% and freaking loud). so I flashed the latest bios I found for it, and now it won't output anything.

I suspect I could probably re-flash it if I put in another card as primary, but what are the chances of that?

I'm letting the computer sit off for a while, probably won't help but you never know. At the very least I can't do any more damage ;)

It's possible it was wrong, but I grabbed it from the techpowerup vgabios page. Searched down to the latest xfx 6850 1GB bios. It seemed to be ok with it till I rebooted.

Now, I did something potentially stupid on top of that. When It was rebooting, before or just after the computer POSTed, I turned the machine off to unplug something. Is it possible that stopped some part of the bios change?
