I ordered a y700 on the 16th of december when it was on back order. I knew it would take long but i didnt know it still wouldnt be in stock till now.. so im reconsidering my choices as i have the chance the switch to another laptop that is in stock.

This is what i ordered http://m.ncix.com/products/sku/117133

This is what im considering switching it to http://m.ncix.com/products/sku/115555/1295

My main concerns when i buy a laptop are build quality, performance, and SPEAKER QUALITY. I can put up with good speakers but i cant stand the crappy tinny ones.

I will take it to school but i dont think 15.6 inches is a concern. I do some gaming and some video editing and am hoping for this laptop to last a LONG TIME. If i stick woth the y700 im definatley throwing a m.2 ssd in there.

Please dont move this to the laptop section straight away or else no one ever sees it.

Thanks

Go ahead and switch. Specs aren't a huge difference, and switching maybe a good idea.

And then you still have to deal with have lenovo bloatware (superfish is still out there).

12GB of RAM and AC all sound good to me tbh w/ u, so go ahead, seems like a reasonable switch.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

Depends? Ultra casual, yes

Double A/ Triple A Shooters: Hell no.

Dual core i7 is pretty bad in gaming. Just like an underclocked version of it's desktop core i3 counterpart.

Lenovo                     Category                       ASUS

Yes                     GPU Performance                 No

Yes                     Cpu Performance          No

Yes (can add m.2) Storage Capacity          No

8GB (can be expanded) RAM Capacity     12GB     (RAM Capacity is really subjective)

Speaker quality, my 20 dollar earbuds sound much better than almost all OEM/stock speakers.

I think u should stick with the lenovo.

Bloatware, easily removable (somewhat)

Adding m.2 is pretty easy.

It seems good. Stick with it. The 940m is craptastic compared to the 960m.

And 1TB of HDD capacity seems good too.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(
