Hi peeps just putting this up in case anyone else would like to do something similar. so the pump in the h100i has failed after about 3 years of use so me being a bit of a cheapskate decide to do something a bit different (i think).

 

take hoses off and drain they come off with a bit of force. be careful not to break the plastic fittings on the waterblock

i didn't expect so much gunk to come out of a closed loop even more came out when i flushed the rad and waterblock

i have gutted the pump and taken out the cables aswell as painted the corsair logo white (i never used the led lights as i cant stand flashing lights coming from my computer). i will be adding a ek d5 pump/res combo as well as primochill clear 3/8id 5/8od tube.
